City Driving School - Our Story
City Driving School was created from passion, dedication and a dream. We are proudly a small family business making a difference in our community and making dreams into reality. Our mission is to educate, empower, and make a difference in our community through education ofdriving. We help our students in achieving their Driver License, we are there step-by-step in guiding and providing excellent service to all our amazing clients. We opened our doors in October 2015 and have proudly served more than 5,000 students. We are always striving to improve and grow as a company with our mission to service everyone with impeccable service.
Edward Melgar, Driving Instructor
Hello everyone I'm Edward Julian Melgar. Some of the passions that I enjoy on my spare time are playing soccer, hiking, and taking walks on the beach. I've been teaching for the past 10 years, so many stories to be told. As a business owner, I've learned that customer service is key in being successful. Currently, I'm attending CSUDH and majoring in English. One of my other passions is reading, I love to read fiction, biographies, and leadership books. I'll leave you with one of my favorites authors quote, "Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another." John C. Maxwell.
Ruth Moran, Driver Ed Instructor
My name is Ruth Moran. I'm one of the funniest people you will ever meet. I love to play volleyball, taste wines of all kinds, and I enjoy traveling. Recently, I traveled to Paris, France and loved it. One of my greatest talents is being able to connect with people. I love to talk and learn about other stories and getting to know their passions. I'm here to help get that Driver License.

Esperanza Melgar, Driving Instructor
Hi, my name is Esperanza Melgar. My journey as an instructor has been since 1989 when I arrived from El Salvador. I always followed my passion for teaching and helping others, I started working independently and loved the job. My passions are helping others, educating people , and building lasting relationships. Some hobbies include walking my dog Boxer, spending time with family and of course making amazing food. My knowledge is immense and I'm always here to help all of you.
